About Jonny

Jonny Mew is a Sunshine Coast based roots/rock/reggae artist returning to his first love, MUSIC, after a beautiful hiatus raising his young family. First and foremost, Jonny is a father, loving partner, Healer and Therapist but he also knows ‘It’s just time’ to rekindle his passion for performing and sharing the love of music and it’s power to connect, uplift, educate and touch hearts with his community and beyond.

From humble beginnings as a self-taught musician, Jonny’s journey as a songwriter begain at age 15 when he first picked up a guitar and joined a rock band in high school in the Northern Territory, where he grew up. Now a more mature man and musician, Jonny performs his powerful originals and covers with his own soulful blend of raw bluesy vocals, guitar loops, didgeridoo and trumpet. Jonny is a true connector, a space and vibe holder, and would love to bring his energy and music to your venue, event, market or Festival.
